Hi everyone,
If you’ve ever seen Disney’s “Olaf Explains…” — They are short, humorous, memorable summaries of well-known stories, but not meant to replace the originals - these articles are written in a similar spirit. let me introduce you to our eccentric, slightly off centre, broken eared dog, called 'Zuko'. (He really is our family pet.) Zuko, and us, hate 'Christianese' or 'Churchy' words. We endeavor to take them out and replace them with everyday language as much as possible. These articles try to give you more depth of culture, history and original language than you might find in the raw scriptures. You will find simple definitions to big words in our glossaries. These articles are meant to be used with advanced S. O. S. methods. If you do not know SOS then you MUST read the next section on how to use these articles!!
🧭 How to use these articles
The primary way of reading and studying the Bible is through Self Discovery Bible Studies (SOS). In this method, people are encouraged to read scripture and reflect on it personally, and then discuss their insights with others — either in small groups or when they gather together later. You can read more about this process in the main SOS basic article link above.
As people mature in their faith, or sometimes hit a roadblock, we encourage them to explore the next level of SOS. The articles in this section are designed to support your growth by offering a framework that can help you go deeper into the next level.

What Is Scripture?
SOS Basic — What Is Scripture?
Scripture is the written witness of how God has revealed Himself through real people, in real places, across real history. It was spoken, taught, and lived before it was written down, and it was preserved because God’s people recognised it as carrying divine authority. God is not distant or dispassionate; He is relational, and He reveals Himself progressively as people are able to understand and respond. This is why Scripture reflects different perspectives across time — such as before, during, and after exile — and speaks of the Messiah as promised, present, and still to come. Scripture is not merely information about God; it is how God continues to speak, revealing His character and His plan of redemption in Jesus Christ. Deeper dives for careful readers:

This section addresses other religions and significant departures from historic Christian theology and practice that are active within our local and broader cultural context. While some of these groups are easily identifiable as high-control cults, others represent influential movements or belief systems that, while more mainstream or socially accepted, still introduce serious theological confusion, unrest, and doubt within Christian communities.
The focus here is not sensationalism, but clarity and discernment. These teachings often blur biblical foundations, distort the nature of salvation, or undermine confidence in the finished work of Christ. For this reason, they require careful, calm, and informed engagement.
What Each Article Covers
Each article compares only their core claims with the teaching of the Bible.
Key areas of comparison include:
Who Jesus is, the nature and role of the Holy Spirit, who can be saved and how, whether Jesus has already returned, the structure and authority of their governing bodies, and how they justify that authority.
If any of their foundational claims contradict Scripture , then they disqualify themselves from offering people the truth and real hope found in the promises of God (YHWH) revealed in the Bible. It is pointless debating any further. Only go as far as necessary to help them or those following them (cf. Proverbs 26:4–5). If they come back for another go, then do your real research and demolish their every belief/assertion, but not the person, whom God loves too (cf. 2 Corinthians 10:5).
It is important to note that some groups make their claims easier by producing their own “translation” of the Bible and insisting it is the only reliable version. Others add new texts that override or supersede Scripture.
For those studying these issues, please apply SOS properly — SOS Basics, SOS Next Level, or SOS Squared, as appropriate. The notes here are only rough guides to point you the way.
📜📣 Minimum Test of a False Prophet
Whenever a belief system involves a modern prophet consider these simple rules when evaluating the system.
Accuracy test — If it does not happen, they are false. (Deut 18:21–22)
Loyalty test — Even if it happens, if they lead away from God, they are false. (Deut 13:1–5)
Punishment under OT law — Death penalty for false prophets. (Deut 13:5; Deut 18:20)

Christadelphians have many, many good attributes. First and foremost they love God and are devoted to him. Secondly they hold the Bible as Holy Inspired Scripture, second to none. What could you hate about that? They have unfortunately miss read or flattened parts of the Bible and have taken a left turn somewhere. Lets find out where?
