Tell me your story - the kit

This is a simple kit you can download and use. The kit complements the previous article titled: Icebreaker #6a: Chat over a cup of coffee.

We offered a free beverage or drink if they would stop and share their story with us. We then offered a snack to go with the drink if they took a short survey.

The survey was just six questions about sharing Jesus without fear or argument. Actually, sometimes we add other preamble questions that are topical at the time.

Once again, we did not argue or put our view on them, but we did ask probing questions like, “Interesting, how did you come to that?” or “How did you come to that conclusion?” etc.

We just let them talk until they exhausted themselves and their reasoning.

Most people do not know what or why they believe.

Anyway, here are the links you can download: Modify as you see fit.

Place some cardboard or a similar material behind the A3 table sign.

Give-away vouchers (that we had pre-arranged with the coffee shop owner.)

Note: Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we always use the slack time of day for the coffee shop, so they are not annoyed at losing a table. It also boosts their slack period.

We have transferred this old article from our previous website.

Please note that "low technology" rules apply, but we sometimes also use a tablet or laptop and have a Power Point slide saying the same thing. If you get a live one, you can then use the subsequent slides to go through a gospel presentation! It works a treat.
