Joy to the World – Backing Track

Joy joy joy
Joy to the world, the Lord is come. Let earth receive her King
Let every heart, prepare him room
And Heav’n and nature sing, and Heav’n and nature sing
And Hea’vn Hea’vn and nature sing

Joy joy joy

Joy to the world, the Saviour reigns, let all their songs employ
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy, repeat the sounding joy
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy

Joy to the world, let their songs employ, their sounding joy
Joy to the world, let their songs employ, their sounding joy

He rules the world with truth and grace and makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness
and wonders of His love, and wonders of His love
And wonders, wonders of His love

Joy to the world, let their songs employ, their sounding joy
Joy to the world, let their songs employ, their sounding joy

Joy joy joy

Away in a Manger

Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,
The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head;
The stars in the bright sky looked down where He lay,
The little Lord Je-sus, A----sleep on the hay.

The cattle are lowing, the Baby a---wakes,
But little Lord Jesus, no crying He makes.
I love Thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky,
And stay by my side un-til mor-ning is nigh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask Thee to stay,
Close by me forever, and love me, I pray.
Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care,
And take us to heaven to live with Thee there.

O Come All Ye Faithful

O Come All Ye Faithful, Joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem.
Come and behold Him, Born the King of Angels;
O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.

Sing, choirs of angels, Sing in exultation,
Sing all ye citizens of Heaven above
Glory to God, all glory in the Highest;
O come, let us adore Him... Christ the Lord.

Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, Born this happy morning,
Jesus, to thee be all glory giv'n
Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing;
O come, let us adore Him... Christ the Lord.

Silent Night

Silent night! Holy night! All is calm all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace! Sleep in heavenly peace!

Silent night! Holy night! Shepherds quake at the sigh
Glories stream from heaven afar.
Heavenly hosts sing Hallelujah
Christ the Saviour is born! Christ the Saviour is born!

Silent night! Holy night! Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face,
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth! Jesus, Lord, at thy birth!

Silent night, holy night, Wondrous star, lend thy light;
with the angels let us sing, Alleluia to our King;
Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born!

The First Noel

The first Noel, the angel did say
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
On a cold winter's night that was so deep

No-el, No-el, No-el, No-el — Born is the King of Is-ra-el

They look-e-d up And saw a star
Shi-ning in the East be-yond them far
And to the earth it gave great light
And so it con-tin-ued both day and night

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel — Born is the King of Israel

The star drew nigh to the north-west
O’er Beth-le-hem it took its rest
And there it did both stop and stay
Right o’er the place that Je-sus lay

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel — Born is the King of Israel

Then en-te-red in those wise men three
Full re-v’ren--tly up-on their knee
And of-fered there, in His pres-ence
Their gold and myrhh and frank-in-cense

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel — Born is the King of Israel

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel — Born is the King of Israel

We Three Kings

We three kings of Orient are; bearing gifts we traverse afar
field and fountain, moor and moun-tain, following yon-der star.

Refrain:
O-oh star of wonder, star of night, star with royal beau-ty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding, guide us to thy perfect light.

Born a king on Bethlehem's plain, gold I bring to crown Him again,
King forever, ceasing never, over us all to reign.

Refrain (repeat)

Frankincense to offer have I; incense owns a Deity nigh;
prayer and praising, voices raising, worship Him God most high

Refrain (repeat)

Myrrh is mine; its bitter perfume breathes a life of gathering gloom;
sorrowing sighing, bleeding, dying, sealed in the stone-cold tomb.

Refrain (repeat)

Glorious now behold Him arise; King and God and sacrifice:
Alleluia, Al--le--lu--ia earth to the heav’ns re-plies

Refrain (repeat)

Peace on earth and me—rcy mild, God and sinners re--------con-----ciled!
Joyful, all ye na---tions rise; Join the triumph of the skies
With angelic host pro--claim Christ is born in Beth-le-hem!

Hark! the he-rald an-gels sing — Glory to the new--born King!

Hail! the heaven-born Prince of Peace! Hail! the Son of Righteousness!
Light and life to all He brings, Risen with healing in His wings.
Mild He lays His glory by, Born that man no more may die;
Born to raise the sons of earth, Born to give them second birth

Hark! the herald angels sing, Glory to the new--born King

O Holy Night

Oh holy night, the stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Savior's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
'Till He appeared and the soul felt it's worth
A thrill of hope the weary world re-joices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn

[Chorus 1]
Fall on your knees, oh hear the angel voices
Oh ni___ght di____vine, oh night when Christ was born
Oh ni______ght, di-vine, oh night, oh night divine

Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us praise His holy name

Christ is the Lord, oh praise His name forever
His po___wer and glo___ry Ev___er more proclaim
His po_____wer and glo____ry ev___er more proclaim

Christ is the Lord, oh praise His name forever
His po___wer and glo___ry Ev___er more proclaim
His po_____wer and glo____ry ev___er more proclaim

Aussie Jingle Bells

Dashing through the bush, in a rusty Holden ute
Kicking up the dust, esky in the boot.
Kelpie by my side, singing Christmas songs
It’s summer time and I am in my Singlet shorts and thongs, oh!

Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way!
Christmas in Australia On a scorching summers day, hey!
Jingle bells, jingle bells, Christmas time is beaut!
O what fun it is to ride In a rusty Holden ute!

Engine’s getting hot, we dodge the kangaroos
The swaggie climbs aboard, he is welcome too!
All the family’s there, sitting by the pool
Christmas day the Aussie way, by the barbecue, oh!

Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way!
Christmas in Australia On a scorching summers day, hey!
Jingle bells, jingle bells, Christmas time is beaut!
O what fun it is to ride In a rusty Holden ute!

Come the afternoon, grandpa has a doze
The kids and Uncle Bruce, are swimming in their clothes
The time comes round to go, we take a family snap
Pack the car and all shoot through, before the washing up, Oh!

Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way!
Christmas in Australia On a scorching summers day, hey!
Jingle bells, jingle bells, Christmas time is beaut!
O what fun it is to ride In a rusty Holden ute!

Carol of the Birds

Out on the plains the Brolgas are dancing,
Lifting their feet like warhorses prancing
Up to the sun the woodlarks go singing
Faint in the dawn light echoes their singing
Orana! Orana! Orana to Christmas Day

Down where the tree ferns grow by the river
There where the waters sparkle and quiver
Deep in the gullies bell birds are chiming
Softly and sweetly their lyric notes rhyming
Orana! Orana! Orana to Christmas Day

Friar birds sip the nectar of flowers
Currawongs chant in wattle tree bowers
In the blue ranges lorikeets calling
Carols of bush birds rising and falling
Orana! Orana! Orana to Christmas Day

The Three Drovers

Across the plains one Christmas night Three drovers riding blithe and gay,
Looked up and saw a starry light More radiant than the Milky Way;
And on their hearts such wonder fell, They sang with joy. 'Noel! Noel! Noel! Noel! Noel!'

The air was dry with summer heat, And smoke was on the yellow moon;
But from the heavens, faint and sweet, Came floating down a wond'rous turn;
And as they heard, they sang full well Those drovers three. 'Noel! Noel! Noel! Noel! Noel!'

The black swans flew across the sky, The wild dog called across the plain,
The starry lustre blazed on high, Still echoed on the heavenly strain;
And still they sang, 'Noel! Noel!' Those drovers three. 'Noel! Noel! Noel! Noel! Noel!'

O Little Town of Bethlehem

O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by.
Yet in thy dark streets shi---neth the e----ver---las---ting light;
the hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.

For Christ is born of Mary and gathered all above
While mortals sleep, the angels keep Their watch of wond’ring love.

O morning stars, together proclaim the holy birth,
and praises sing to God the king, and peace to all on earth.

How silently, how silently the wonderous gift is given,
So God imparts to human hearts, the blessings of His heav'n.
No ear may hear his coming but in this world of sin
Where meek souls will receive him still The dear Christ enters in.

O holy Child of Bethlehem descend to us we pray
cast out our sins and enter in, be born in us to-day.
We hear the Christmas an-gels the great glad tidings tell
O-come to us a-bide with us Our Lord Em-man-u-el.

Once in Royal David’s City

Once in royal Davi’s city, stood a lowly cattle shed
Where a mother laid her Ba-by, in a manger for His bed
Mary was that mot-her mild, Jesus Christ, her lit--tle Child.

He came down to earth from hea-ven, who is God and Lord of all
And His shelter was a sta-ble, and His cradle was a stall
With the poor, and mean, and lowly, lived on earth our Sa-vior holy.

For He is our childhood's pattern; day by day, like us, He grew
He was little, weak, and helpless, tears and smiles, like us He knew
And He feeleth for our sadness, and he shareth in our sadness

And our eyes at last shall see Him, through His own redeeming love
For that Child so dear and gen-tle, is our Lord in heaven above
And He leads His children on, to the place where He is gone.

Mary’s Boychild

Long time ago in Bethlehem, So the Holy Bible say,
Mary's boy child Jesus Christ Was born on Christmas day.

Chorus:
Hark, now hear the angels sing, A new king born today.
And man will live forevermore Because of Christmas day!
Trumpets sound and angels sing Listen to what they say
That man will live forevermore Because of Christmas Day

While shepherds watched their flocks by night, They saw a bright new shining star.
Then heard a choir from heaven sing, The music seemed to come from afar

Now Joseph and his wife Mary Came to Bethlehem that night
They found no place to bear the child Not a single room was in sight
By and by they found a little nook In a stable all forlorn
And in a manger cold and dark Mary's little boy was born

Chorus (repeat)

Another year over And a new one just begun
