blue origin launch

In a recent interview, the CEO of Blue Origin Space Flight, Jeff Bezos (Amazon), stated that the key to achieving great things is to be stubborn on the vision but flexible on the details. Blue Origin Space Flight has successfully allowed ordinary people to rocket 350,000 feet (100 km), past the Karman Line, into space using a reusable autonomous rocket. The "passenger capsule" detaches and goes beyond Earth's atmosphere until gravity pulls them back to Earth. They can free float and view the curvature of the Earth for 4 minutes before the parachutes fire and bring them softly home.

This is a purely secular approach to achieving amazing things, but it works. It's even more effective if it aligns with God's vision!

Our vision should be the same as the Father’s “not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance” from “every nation, tribe, and people”. Our commission is written clearly down for all of us to follow (Matt 28:19-20).

Following this vision requires us to adhere to tested scriptural principles that possess qualities that are simple, reproducible, cross-cultural, and timeless. They have to be scalable. It has to be able to reach simple children and illiterate as well as engage our academics without sacrifice.

To do this, we must keep the foundations stubbornly the same while being flexible with the delivery. The three thirds pattern of AIM (Look Back, Look Up, Look Ahead) is the only thing I have seen that matches all of these qualities. Before you add or subtract from it, think very, very carefully. Ask yourself, “Why am I doing this? What domino effects will it have?”, "what people will be using this tool in 30, 60, 100 generations time and will this be easily imparted down the line to them?".

So be stubborn about the vision and flexible about the details.

God Bless from the team of Meet God at Home.
