You’re Invited Because You’re Known — Not Because You’re Good

A Simple Picture

By Zack M...

Imagine you’re walking down the street and you see someone you know well.

You smile. They smile. You stop and chat.

Then they say, “Hey, come over for a coffee.”

You go. You sit. You talk. You catch up on life.

It feels natural. Easy.

Why did they invite you in?

Think About It

Not because you’re a “good person.”

Not because you earned it.

Not because you ticked enough boxes that day.

You were invited because you’re known.

There’s a relationship there.

Time spent. Conversations had. Trust built.

Now Flip the Picture

Now imagine knocking on a complete stranger’s door.

You say, “I’m a really good person… can I come in?”

It doesn’t matter how sincere you are.

It doesn’t matter how many good things you’ve done.

There’s no relationship.

And without relationship… the door stays closed.

The Question Most People Miss

A lot of people think getting into heaven works like a scorecard:

“I’ve been a good person… I should be let in.”

But real life doesn’t work like that.

And neither do relationships.

The real question isn’t:

“Are you good enough?”

The real question is:

“Do you actually know Him… and does He know you?”

Keep It Simple

You don’t get invited in because of performance.

You get invited in because of relationship.

And relationships don’t appear overnight.

They take time.

They take effort.

They take response.

So the question becomes:

Are you just hoping you're “good enough”… or are you actually getting to know God?

Continuing the Journey

This isn’t about becoming more religious.

It’s about something far more personal:

knowing God, not just knowing about Him.

But knowing Him was never meant to stop with you.

Real relationship multiplies.

If this is true…
then someone else in your life needs to hear it too.

Who could you walk this journey with?
Who could you invite in?

Who could you train to let others in?
