It is a great way to help you start your multiplication off. You cannot do this in your own strength! It is Christ’s church not ours and we have to remember that. The only way that multiplication of groups can happen is with the help and driving force of the Holy Spirit combined with your willing obedience and perseverance. This map is one great way to get more information so you can have much more specific prayer requests and to mobilise others in prayer. It is also a great way to cast vision of the Master’s Heart. It also helps others crystallise a vision of “their oikos”.
- Start with putting your name in the centre of the diagram.
- Go to you phone’s contacts, Facebook, twitter etc. and find 10 close friends or family.
- Put their names down in the next ring out from you and start praying for them!
- Approach each one of those 10 people and get ten other names off them the same way and add them to your chart.If you fill out your chart and teach others in your list to do the same, that is a prayer network of over 10 000 people!!(A great way to cast vision of Kingdom growth.)
What do you prayer about? Sift your list out into two types of people as you go. Those that you know follow Jesus and those that you are not sure of. Mark them some way.
Then for those that know Jesus pray that you can get them to join your prayer chain for spreading the gospel and multiplying disciples. If they agree to join you then as you can pray that they will join the workers in the field with you.
For those that you are not sure if they know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour pray that you (or someone else closer to them maybe) gets an opportunity to share the Good News with them and lead them to a decision to follow Jesus.
It is a great tool and it puts the Holy Spirit into the driver’s seat.
