This fallacy is another personal attack, but it may not be against just the messenger. It could be someone from their past or the person or group who first came up with this idea. If they can attack the origin of this question or belief, then they think they can defeat or confirm the topic without further fighting. The term "Genetic Fallacy" refers to the act of criticizing an argument based on its perceived origin or initiator. It is hard to argue with someone who takes this view, as they will just keep attributing anything you say to that origin problem.
Examples:
Secular Example:
"I think that "Wish" is a fantastic family movie, even though I have never seen it, because Disney always produces great family movies."
Kingdom Example:
“You’re only Christian because you were born that way. You grew up in a Christian family in the United States. If you grew up in Iran, you would most likely be a Muslim. "There is no inherent advantage to being a Christian over a Muslim."
"Why should I believe anything you say about Jesus?" The church is full of people who have exploited children and stolen money from the vulnerable. More wars have been fought in the name of Church than anything else in history. "
